Set Description:

PLEASE SEE the 2nd picture I added to issue 310-its shows 8 year old Crazy Ed in his superman shirt that my Mom made from a blue sweatshirt and a red iron on jeans patchMy next block of Action comics in CGC grade; there are not nearly as many cool introductions, but there is Parasite (Action 340) and a few others.

My 1st Action comic was issue 310, "the Secret of Jewel Kryptonite." In this issue, Supergirl gets to reunite with her real Parents. Amongst my other favorite wre the issue softhe 320's, which included giant killer insects, 3 generations of Super-men and a Skyscraper suber-baby. I rarely missed the current issue off the rack of this title. By 1968, the Kryptonian Leprosy X stories of issue 363-366 were among the 1st to showcase Neal Adams covers. I remember this storyline particularly as I was moving from Buffalo NY to Miami, FL over the summer of 1968 and I missed the last 2 parts of the 4 issue cliff hanger storyline and it was several years later that I acquired the ending issues.

The picture of the Action 310-this is the 1st Superman comic I was given at age 8 for my birthday-it came in a DC 4 pack with Superboy 112, Lois lane 49 and Jimmy Olson 76.

The 2nd shot is me later at age 8 wearing the Superman shirt my Mom lovingly made for me from a blue sweatshirt and an iron-on red jeans patch. She actually cut the red S herself from looking at my comic book!
