I previously described my dual Batman-Detective collecting goals (key issues for pre-New Look and attempting:
1. a complete run of each major Batman title in CGC grades
2. of 8.0 or better, with a reader copy to accompany;
3. and a set that ran unbroken from Detective 327-through the end of the 100 page Giants, which is about when I stopped buying them (off the newstands or comic racks).
Would you believe at the age of 18 (and going to college) I still had not run into a comic book store or regular merchant who could supply me with ongoing new books? I became a business yuppie instead for 15 years. Basically, from the mid 70's until 1990, I was not buying comic books.
This last "batch" of CGC Batman/Detectives in my ownership are offered up to view in the registry as they fit my "childhood criteria" (in this batch, from the 1st Man-Bat by Adams) through the end of the 100 pagers, with a few followup issues acquired also.
