Set Description:
An "order" to the chaos for some of these covers! Hypnotize.
Nick Fury Agents of Shield, with Fury at the helm, these covers by Steranko do well to make the realm.
It's head over heels for this trippy and cool fun art that keeps the reader intrigued and willing to play the part. Nick Fury wants the chance to keep Shield's victory against the villains! A scrapper of a fighter story, if ever was one.
I don't mean the File 13 trash bin neither, it takes an underdog to keep up as a human against all the slog of villains.
Nick Fury is one thing, but don't forget the AGENTS OF SHIELD! They are some break out heroes that push pencils and papers.
Know exactly what the "fax" is, don't let them escape justice, and make a living off of other people's taxes!
Imagine the fury of these lines and what the hope of it was? Art? Some creation? Back at this time money and popularity wasn't large or even high for opportunity, but at large were the artists, creators, and time enough to spend and still earnestly turn out a quality product.
Steranko is at the helm in most of my set, as to illustrate those inks and embellishments that now have stood by fans as favorites. Getting books signed and witnessed by those said fans might be on my shortlist as well, when the opportunity arises it is possible to see Steranko for a time signing away!
That on its own could attest the solidarity with what the art speaks of and with what the traditions had in mind for the ages and eras within comic collecting. Limited in quantity, however, Steranko is still commended in quality. It pays to do the hard and dedicated work, even though there were some minor hopes in short-term benefits.

Classic Steranko Cover. I bought this at Keith's Comics, and it appeared VF, I didn't notice a slight stain on the cover until I got home. The insides are pristine and I'm glad to have this well presenting copy! It is a great trippy cover and a rendition that matched the times when it was created. Good On Steranko for keeping it lit! Such a great book with a series that went on for a while, even with Steranko working on the book to give it that same feeling of greatness. It was fun to find and I'm slowly building, taking my time, the set, until it gets too expensive. I'm happy at VF or thereabouts, cause the art is hardly interfered with in those grades. It still presents well, and the colors pop, sometimes that is better than NM if the color and "gloss" so to speak are still well off. That and with an artsy or colorful cover like the Steranko run on this series, it stands out!
An "order" to the chaos for some of these covers! Hypnotize.
Complete with a back cover picture of adventures in a clutch at Comic-Con that grabs the theatrics from the top rope and brings the ringmaster to the side of top dog, with kids, parents and patrons all in tow awaiting the action, a "fury" of taking a stand to create creative, imaginative feats on solid ground.
Grader Notes:
light bends to cover;
light crease left top of back cover;
light spine stress lines to cover;
medium, moderate water stain left top of front cover.

1st appearance of Centurius (Doctor Noah Black). Jim Steranko story and cover. Jim Steranko and Frank Giacoia art. Foxes have holes and birds have nests, but man was this to be found at Local Comic Shop Awesome Comics! Blessed rainy day after July the 4th. Sales shopping with a bit of favor from those who would grace my upcoming B-day, with family having similar tradition in recent days. All for the Glory who brought forth the generations, indeed, this Alpha and Omega lesson from A-Z! To not say my alphabets backwards but instead believe that these would be filled out in the registry. Not of my own accord. Peace that stays is Him that is Faithful, that greetings on this midday midway filled excursion is rooted in the Joy of the search and rescue that brought me home safe, with floods in recent days as well, welling up to counting those blessings and assuredly for others as well.

Half page ad for Silver Surfer #1. Jim Steranko story and cover. Jim Steranko and Dan Adkins art. Nicely done and orchestrated by those whims of sales and by no other means than to persevere and solve the puzzle of the day's activities. Is it a drama or a comedy, nobody knows but the relaxation of breakfast tacos and the sweet post July 4th rain brought in the humility to get the workout. Early afternoon with no slip and falls and my dad bless him being supportive, taking great comfort in those actions. Providing Steranko had his art situated it falls in line with the set and takes into account that these "early" issues were on my list, although grateful, it is no glory of mine. Those are the facts as some cartoon theatrics played out on the insides to be sure that the art was illustrated in the 70's and making an account for those kids and adults alike.
Those open brick and mortars with hearts beating and flesh in the peak of noonday flies the way of a comic reader, collector and otherwise hopeful buyer.
Complete with your mission in the blackness of back cover pictures, comes the "Bird, Plane!" No, it is the impossible, which isn't a hard miracle with fountains that spring eternal within cinema, the box office, and yes, the inspiration of our hearts toward the common good of excitement and thrills.
Grader Notes:
light spine stress lines to cover;
light cover tanning;
wear top of back cover;
light creasing to cover.

Jim Steranko Story and Art ON NICK FURY! Steranko gave some truly "inspired" covers during this period and I lucked into #1, so I would like to complete them all! Very striking cover with art placement and coloring. Bought on impulse from Mr. Robert "Bob" Storms! He had a "spin a wheel" for a discount promotion! lol. A good man that Bob Storms, a reputable seller and is always getting new stuff. Cool to see Steranko still on this series! Given Steranko's full body of work being a smallish volume compared to others of the same quality, he didn't disappoint. He also kept getting around way after he had stopped really producing art for Marvel. He did the Comic Con circuit and did many autographs for fans. Maybe even did a discretional picture with a fan or two and can talk your ear off with opportunity. So many HITS! Nearly everything he did was just AWESOME!
Battle Scars #1 featuring the first appearance of Nick Fury Jr! Lots of family within Marvel.
Complete with a back cover picture of this issues insides, that are well done and a part of my reader copy. Glad to have something Steranko to fall back on and peruse!
Grader Notes;
Right Bottom Front Cover Lite Crease.

It's Steranko! In Spaaace! Well Nick Fury sure enough, no Major Tom though, keeping the art juices flowing in this classic Silver Age. A 7.5 copy fits my issue #1, even for this #6 classic, and I'm glad to make it my own. Epics of space and travel and really capturing the "all alone" feeling and without hope imagery, yet with a sense of wonder from the beyond and other sci-fi attributes. Steranko, still on the title, delivers with another HIT! Keeping it original and without any disappointment. We could get new artists this well off in talent, but it may "look" too different than these classics, due to digitizing of coloring. I'd still love the imagination, depicting thoughts on paper with words is hard enough for me! The old utensils used, and sometimes digitizing is very useful; although, the "feel" is two different admirable looks! :) Alone in the Universe? Maybe something cosmic will do the trick or at least do not deny the supernatural! The heavens and beyond!
Laughing out loud at wisdom as the party down the hall flies itself, it isn't an orbit save to say a still walk in the night toward the highlights that call the lunar by celestial names as Father Abraham had them all signed named and delivered as the numbers of sands.
Complete with a back cover picture of the prescreen pass before released to theaters of, "First Man!" Neil Armstrong and a telling of the first landing space venture, which is placed around the time of distribution of this comic. Just to tell of the coming space age and the rallying cry of recent generations.
Grader Notes:
moderate tanning interior back cover;
moderate tanning interior front cover;
small, light wear left bottom of front cover breaks color.

Gary Friedrich story. Herb Trimpe and Sam Grainger cover and art. Trimpe! Trippy? Not as much as the Steranko vibe that we get from this set but teachable art all the same. With statistics shaky on how and when or even why this pick-up makes its debut it is all in the collection to peruse, by and by, as those slabs keep them rolling. Glad that old Nick has had it up to here to make some fury, as in the road that prolongs the inevitable grace towards mercy of Truth, Justice, and the American Way. If it were all up to me, we'd all ride our bikes down to the local shop and finesse but marinate is all the stew boiled this Labor Day weekend, with Awesome Comics a Local Comic Shop picking up the tab from some of my trade ins today at the Half Price Books sale. Sail away, sail away, and with temperament like that I'm glad the old AA theology makes no one stumble towards what couldn't be controlled on a good day of bar tapping and tip bringing.
Traded these 5 at $24 bargain bin cost toward this slab priced at $69. The Sauron cover was detached. The Joker was a reader, and the rest had some dings but not too, too bad.
Complete with a back cover picture of speaking as the cover hint with Beatles talk, "A Day in the Life!" Comes The Bickersons as a jump down to shelter to get away! Tell us is it party time, and if so can "we" all come? When the offer is rejected like a fool of folly in his money pour, it is the poor radio blues by ways of merry melodies that remind us of age-old wisdom!
