Set Description:
1,2, Batman is coming for you. 3,4, with newsstands and more. 5,6, Action Comics. 7,8, Superman is great. 9,10, it'll happen again! Fury, as with Merrie Melodies, calls for the tagline, "Of course you know, this means war!"
Newsstands!! Run from them or to them, as they come out of the woodwork! The Hush storyline is prevalent and relevant, and the issue covers have graced the screens of shows, like the Big Bang Theory. Doing things heartily is the motto for the run, not just like "poultry" without a head. We gobble it up though! While Hush is stealing the "glow up", the Bat's rendition may seem to take a backseat, but Hush is getting initiative and taking it out on people with ease!
Batman! With a Jim Lee run of cover art, who has stood as a testament to the tried and true in appreciation!
Repetitious at times, but easy on the eyes as well!
The night air crisp with ink, while paper is applied, and while the order is often sought the other way, there are those who commit the crime before the ink can dry. In short, purposed criminals are signing their own warrants with the actions they are purposefully planning to commit!
Commissioner Gordon sometimes thinks it is too much paperwork anyway, and even the Batman has to morally check in some weapons lest he be tempted. Devices found by bad guys are brought to all kinds of labs and batcaves for analysis lest they be shortsighted and left alone for someone to just pick up. Commissioner Gordon feels the same about all the criminals as the Batman feels about those devices, and yet if you have found one of those poor souls with a broken member in an alley? It is due to a Bats rather than Mr. Gordon.
One is the night, and the other is a licensed professional. Ha-ha. This is Gotham in a general sense, the likes of which happen in our minds the whole time in which we read of exciting dissolving's of issues with breakdowns among the Batman and criminals.

Newsstand Edition. Modern Newsstand pull up a batarang and get to swinging! Catwoman, Killer Croc, and Poison Ivy Appearance. A now classic Jim Lee cover. It was everywhere at the time, only a few have posted "Newsstands" for sale. Still the quantities, were consumed in mass, yet the demand hasn't brought too many out of collections. The jury is still out. A classic swinging cover, with the almost G.O.A.T. of football on the back cover, Tom Brady, but more importantly, this thing could be pressed it seems from the grader's notes. Loving the beginning to this run of "newsstands" in the issues of #600's, that was well read and collected! This sets up the Jim Lee run that would initiate new and secretive "villains" for the Batman to play with, although in this instance a very crippling way to go about it. There is a lot to the Batman, and somethings never change; although, there are always new obstacles to figure out and he can rise to the occasion.
1,2, Batman is coming for you. 3,4, with newsstands and more. 5,6, Action Comics. 7,8, Superman is great. 9,10, it'll happen again!
Complete with back cover picture of Jim Lee's light up canvas. Showing off Jim Lee art! Bought at GameStop of all places, these are the heroes who could keep a "Batman in Check!" The BATMAN, however, always seems to go it alone and mostly in the shadows of his own volition! What is his superpower? "He's Rich!" That is what makes him, and yet the brain power to put that money to work is often overlooked!

Newsstand Edition! 1st Hush appearance. This was an introduction to the character for me that filled out a short run with him being front and center. Seemingly Newsstands abound though commonly thought of as scarce, but with this segway of early issue #600's almost having completely Newsstands Available for each issue. Great character representation for the silent newsstand distribution mover in the background, and as a shadow like the Bats! Even though well collected amongst fans, these issues have been the most common "with value" among the Newsstands nostalgia. Well for late moderns anyway, and similarly, the Amazing Spider-man early number 600's has newsstands as well. Maybe these were all just a popular time for comic books period the end, which includes newsstands being available for sale, as well direct editions at local comic shops! I was pointed to this particular CGC Newsstand for sale from the boards, by the boardie Corona Smith.
Study books call this issue the case of, "Ivy Pheromone's and Catwoman's seductive wiles, with the Batman betwixt them!"
Complete with a back cover picture of the screen at the prescreen of "Sonic the Hedgehog 3!" Speaking of the Hush character this issue and how in the "Shadow" he is, it comes in movie form by way of a Hedgehog. Hush seeks his own will and somehow suffers himself into the hands of a Batman. Shadow gives into the hands of destiny as well, like the way Batman gives his life to his work, but Shadow comes by it honestly by shadowboxing Sonic for a good show!

Newsstand Edition! Superman with the grips on Batman. Nice show of strength, but ah in the end who is the morally comfortable hero, is it the end or something more involved!?! Still a collected cover, whose 2nd print made it into TV shows, with this cover as a sketch. This semi classic is by Jim Lee and was a stark portrayal of just what ominous battles the Superman considers a serious conflict, and just how serious or far he is willing to take it. Superman always seems to use caution and patience, even with a mild personality as Clark Kent. We just never have a gauge on how much he holds back. This Kryptonian keeps the guise up well, and we may never see the full potential for this character, and it may be why he's lasted so long! Many times, as it is what it is, a common issue needs a bit of niche or twist of the arm, but this set is a great read and, so far, has come away with some reverence!
Fury, as with Merrie Melodies, calls for the tagline, "Of course you know, this means war!"
Complete with a back cover picture of the "screen" at the prescreen before publicly released of, "Shazam: Fury of the Gods!" Similarly with DC some heroes have weaknesses. Superman is vulnerable to Kryptonite used in this issue by the Batman, but also to magic, which caused Batman to use the Kryptonite in the first place, and Shazam relies on "SPEAKING!" It takes some backwoods to bring out all the intricacies of some of DC's Mightiest Heroes! Ender's Game Pin, as everyone is trying to be prepared against aliens.

Batman Hush story line! Jim Lee sketch 2nd print! This cover was and is HOT. It even got a shout out in the TV show The Big Bang Theory, when Stewart the LCS owner held one aside for Will Wheaton to buy. Got to love the real-world application of comics in film. Bizarre nerds show or not. This issue does at least come with some acclaim before it! Got for $50 at Fan Expo Dallas 2021! Those were the days that may soon be back with certain drop in prices, good on the venders to keep turning it all out. With Jim Lee appearing in pencils, it is inked and with color on the 1st print, yet here we can see the detail that goes into it! They did this with a lot of Michael Turner covers too, and while a cool concept, it was very popular around 2016 when I got back into collecting. Comparing artists between the sketch covers could be a cool thing to look into!
2021 was all about the "insert" Jewelers and National Diamond at the Comic-Con, but be sure there were other fair enough deals, too!
Complete with the back cover picture of issue #610 that built the pressure, and while a Newsstand example, I think it is more meant to be read! Bats is getting a feel for the situation! I got it from a $2 bin at a different DVD store.

Newsstand Edition. Batman reveals identity to Catwoman. Nightwing, Riddler & Joker appearance. Jeph Loeb story. Jim Lee & Scott Williams cover & art. Cats are meowing to the tune of confessions, but by whom, the Batman? I guess that takes the cake for today, and whatever the lesson here is, I suppose it is sure. Like I'm lying to the Hangman's Jury ~ Aerosmith. A time for healing and a time for hate, of those burdens undisclosed and for whatever reason other than because no one is sure of themselves. Supportive though. Not for me, but another problem for another day and I suppose it can wait. Shopping at Fan Expo Dallas 2025 and the bargains were stooped upon me with dealers making headwinds and trades, not with lack of character for it was a busy 3-day weekend. Too busy for even this old codger, but Newsstands in raw form now take the stage back from CGC just in time for my Birthday. Not to repine.
Completely invaluable insight when change is let in through the eyes of the beholder. Hold on Tight.
Complete with a back cover picture of those other frolics with the netted twine that wrapped around other comic-cons like a studious bookworm, for comics, comics, comics! In the end, still at home safe, content, and way too satisfied to wind up in want with my attitude towards submissions and future like excursions, whence the character came in a majestic type of scenario. ZATANNA!!

Newsstand Edition. Catwoman, Robin, Huntress & Scarecrow appearance. Jeph Loeb story. Jim Lee & Scott Williams cover & art. Jim Lee draws the ink from a battle torn window! Is it to the soul of which you speak? Can anyone hear me? Is it the baton that is passed between the nightfall of an already stranger testing time, oh how the silence speaks volumes. Remembering fallen mankind is one thing, but when there truly is no hope for return, then I guess one must rest assured. Batman by Jim Lee is his own kind of bulky nightmare, in the way it befuddles him to go against his own nature. Is there no turning back? One must know where to look behind the stern cowl like colors when is the night space of adventure and making one stand taking care lest he fall. The riverbends, the rivers flow, and like oil and wine there is a psalm in the night, but who dares to withstand the opportunities. One of four bought Fan Expo Dallas 2025!
Wristbands carve out stamps for prescreens.
The back side of the moon, in comes the supes swoops! Not this issue.
Complete with that PG-13 of the horror variety awaiting a mommy kins and the voluptuous perils that stalk by the wayside in a prescreen pass to the movie before released publicly of, "MEGAN!" Paul told Timothy to make disciples, I guess it was the famed love and faith that brought these Corinthians to their knees. Selah!

Newsstand Edition. Harvey Dent, Jim Gordon, Huntress, Catwoman, Superman & Riddler appearance. Jeph Loeb story. Jim Lee & Scott Williams cover & art. I am, not, the author of it, but wincing is occurring behind the cold doors of fortune for the heroes and the villains, like the poor in spirit who wonder at when came the howl. It is not the finisher, nor the move of chess we wish to make, and poor solitude is all alone in feeling, expression, and a cover that stands in red like the dawn of a new day weather permitting. It isn't a stroll down memory lane when the spikenard shows the moody tones of Robin and coming up out of his emotional grave. Only a Batman, evidently, can take the helm of both these and other heroics for a cause not their own, but is still pursued to be persuaded by time and the eventual health in, "Them Bones!" ~ Alice in Chains
The emblem of suffering and shame stood an old, rugged cross, with winds that pick-up coat tails to set them down on a precipice and that in itself speaks to the cover and a description "S" symbol like no other.
Complete with a back cover picture of being hated and without cause. It is the inevitable point a finger that has one saying, "One finger towards the door, throw your meal ticket out the window and put your skeletons in jail!" Lord Only Knows ~ Beck The scaly "How to train your Dragon!" In a stainless-steel tumbler.

Newsstand Edition. Clayface, Catwoman & Robin appearance. Jeph Loeb story. Jim Lee & Scott Williams cover & art. That's a wrap on my firing squad this Comic Con pick-up 2025. Taking down the photos and putting in the names of those blotted out emotional stirrings in stirred up wonderkins. It isn't a tale worth telling I suppose, but it is my own nonetheless and for what it is worth I love you, them, and the other world type care that only casts a shadow at the future and what we can't even think or imagine. Someday, we'll believe again with what gains there are to be had, in the welling up of responsibilities and personal losses. It isn't that Comic-Con is the end all be all, but the surety of promise One only knows the soul and spirit, and of what season, time and purpose. Though I'd like to think that an original thought, it is not, as there is nothing new under the sun and nothing to swear by alone save a savior who is gentle and kind.
Band on the run, band on the run! The county grudge held a grudge, who will search forevermore! Band On The Run ~ Sir Paul McCartney
