Set Description:
Fuzzy Dice and a Slice of Hack and Slash, this Furry Beast is taking over the run for the quest to get Iron Man, the Beast is shedding his skin! Trading in for the fur of black this go around. This trapeze muscle bounder is going to show us some new tricks up his sleeve! This X-man is suiting up for himself, with ambition, LOOK OUT "THE BEAST!" This fury "Beast" initiative has wandered the globe, joined many teams, and been able to stand on his own many times!
Not leaving his head stuck in the past, the Beast lives on! He is taking his new form and making his way through the open door of a moral code. "They hated mutants before, wait until they get a load of me!" It could be his new line of thinking, but much to his own surprise and down the road will find a gentler side and the spirit willing, while observing the flesh is weak. Stuck between his rights and the decision to still be for the good and betterment of "mankind", the Beast struggles as if he can only make the decision for himself and then live out that example for others! It is a balancing act that the Beast finds footing with the heroes of old, being of an origin himself, only to find this "new origin" befuddling and unsettling. Knowing only what he has seen and heard up to this point, we see his plight and juxtaposition! He remains well read and well versed, but upon every line upon line must indeed decide for himself.

1st appearance of the Beast with Fur and Carl Maddicks! This long traditioned X-man is getting decked out for the rugs, to come by it honestly with acrobatics and brute strength.... the Beast is His Name! Got to come out with the kung-fu kicks, because everyone was Kung-Fu Fighting. This ultimate change seemed permanent, but then ended up blue! Like the Blue Meanies from the Yellow Submarine, this Beast has to find Love! It's all you need. He strikes first and ask questions later, at first, then finds a more domicile attitude to really round out the X-men. A much-needed original X-man, that has science under his wing and a toothed expression for his cowl. Picked up raw at Titan Comics one day back in about 2017 or 2018 and sent to CGC through the LCS as well. Coming back 6.0 was to be somewhat expected, and it is what the LCS had it graded at as well. Totally shocked at the availability and pleasantness with ease that these "adventure" copies came back from CGC!
Complete with a back cover picture of the prescreen pass before released to theaters of, "Fantastic Beasts!" All that action, while displaying "amazing adventures" and featuring a magic world with a few furies themselves, for sure, and leave it to the British accents to give you a sense of intelligence. Twist and turns by and by!
Grader Notes:
light bends to cover;
light creasing to cover;
light finger bends on cover;
moderate spine stress lines to cover.

2nd Beast with Fur. Adding Ploog, Sutton, Englehart! With a splash of Kane and Sinnot! The Beast got his man? This yellow cover presents well for the grade, while portraying the Beast triumphant over the Iron Man?!? Kicking some Iron, I'm not sure the goal of this issue, found raw and in prime submit grade! I got it in as soon as possible, which still wasn't quick. It was needed due to having found #11 for a fair price, and this collection was going off without a hitch. It could probably use a press, and I believe this was a DVD store find raw. I'm no longer finding these issues there now as of 2022, well not this old of a book or very seldom. There was an expect in grade that CGC pegged, and I understand it, yet I think that a press would have helped. Maybe another time with that! There have been some nice copies available of these over the years, at LCS especially, but I got while the getting was good.
Complete with a back cover picture of a prescreen pass before released to theaters of, another "Fantastic Beasts!" This one about standing trial, and a few more fury beast creatures in itself, but still the movie does beg questions the same as this "Beast Comic." Beasts need to stay off the ledge when assuming victory, I guess.
Grader Notes:
light bends to cover;
light creasing to cover;
light finger bends on cover;
very light spine stress lines to cover.

The big reveal? Death of the Quasimodo, these times are tough and getting tougher. The Beast is having to earn his reward and it doesn't look as though he's having an easy time of it! Living in hiding isn't easy nor ideal. Still when you look different than anyone else, it is an "option", and sometimes that is taken too far. The only full circle is to come out from hiding with some new perspective or valid reason to show and prove that you are not who once you were. We all need alone time, to be careful and not consume ourselves in isolation is the key. To be separate to yourself from what can oppress will help you assess your company, although sometimes we have to be in fact ourselves the person we seek to join up to! Then We Become as We Should. Helping and serving others is a good place to start. Bought from Dave and Adams somewhat near 2017-18!
Complete with a back cover of what the Beast used to appear as, can't keep a good X-men down! Acrobatic and Faithful with his leaps, that's the Beast with or without fur on a good day. He is able to best those who are out for nefarious reasons.
