Set Description:
This rag tag band is made up of some muscles and magic! Seemingly a stumbling group that proves to interact with force, as they eventually get the job done. By classic villains, the DEFENDERS prove their worth and their loyalty to each other, proved in their own ongoing series that followed! Marvel Feature is where we are introduced, and keeping up the banter, they struggle to overcome and permeate the times and culture!
These Features would go on to Motion Features, with the Defenders at the helm, now at Disney the torch has been passed and so far, not too much of a letdown. Bring on my Marvel!

Those Features were headlines to the Bronze Age, that calls back to those movie times that would eventually progress into a cinematic universe. Defenders, Doctor Strange, with some Hulk thrown in, and even a Sub-mariner to top it all off with a cherry. All prime real estate within a culture and times. A simpler one at that, which reminded us at intermission to take up some salted foods or candies that would make us glad. Times were a pause feature or a snapshot of where we were headed, and long were the days in reading Marvel fashion! Disgruntled bickering was tailored as teamworking skills to become bigger than life, and we all took away the morality of helping each other out and of our own accord! That and hardly any seatbelt wearing, a hard knock life that showed no worse for wear of suddenly hitting the brakes!

Origin and 1st app. of the Defenders. "Death"" of Yandroth. Baron Mordo appears in Doctor Strange backup story. What a whack a mole band of members. Like they all got together in the basement and said, "Let's fight crime!' Ha Even Dr. Strange thinks it is a good idea? Then the Hulk is in! Namor? Well, I suppose, and eventually the Silver Surfer too. This band of misfits comes out swinging for the fences, and they make a homerun in the first few issues. Enough of a hit to keep the series going 50+ issues in their own ongoing series. Here is their first brotherhood agreement and they discuss what will keep them together for ever. Like a bunch of hooligans, they're here to match brawns, brain, and a brash attitude. The misfits can make it work like the cool kids, see? Kind of like the song, "I wish I was one of the cool kids, because they seem to fit in!" Collecting brings the joy of the hunt, can't sleep on what you LOVE!
Complete with a back cover picture of, "INTERMISSION!" It's about midway through the set if looking at the main gallery, and I just want to extend a Laurel of appreciation and this hearty handshake! Almost done looking through the Sunday funny pages. "Let's all go to the Lobby!"
Grader Notes:
crease left bottom of back cover;
multiple stain right top of interior;
small crease right top of front cover breaks color;
very small crease right bottom of front cover breaks color.

2nd appearance of the Defenders! Classic Yellow Cover, and a battle ensuing to be the dominant team! These newly grouped heroes will have to learn friendship to keep the Hulk satisfied. With the buildup to Doctor Strange movie #2, and now proof in Black Panther #2, and there is hope yet for Namor and the Defenders. Keep'em coming MCU. These issues have for the most part kept readers enthralled, of these that I've read, the unagreeable banter fits a spot for the theatrics in vogue. What the real read is, is the Surfer interaction, which will happen later, with Namor! The brute strength and the undeniable magic that rises emotions as well for the bickering blockheads. The writing style of Roy Thomas is mostly proven and unapologetically, it has got the right stuff. Sal Buscema and Ross Andru are seasoned veterans at this point as well!
Complete with a back cover picture of Joe Jusko Masterpiece Collection art book of, "Dr. Strange!" He's deep in thought contemplating his cars warranty I'm sure, but is written to get the job done!
Grader Notes;
light creasing to cover.

3rd appearance of the Defenders. The mind games of control have started with this hard in high grade black cover issue! Hulk Smash and it still may not be enough, it may need a form of intelligence to be formidable! These guys remind me of Charlie Brown, "You blockheads!" They remain dumbfoundedly inspired to make quick fixes and amends to anyone hurt in the process. Keeping divided, they'll learn to make the tough choices, and get with the "program" to quite literally get in the homes of fans. These movies could be coming soon, yet the books are well written to string along until the final outcome. Either way, stay tuned to the MCU! They have been around a while and most of the comics are worn and torn, whether from reading or usual wear and tear. Those leading men get the story back on track to be a "collectable!" Yowzah!
Complete with a back cover picture of "Zombies!" Some Marvel fans are actually called Marvel Zombies, and the children in this Marvel Feature are similar, hearing the call! What can a superhero do in instances like this? Pray for enough viewership to not get cancelled? Next up an ongoing series called Defenders!
Grader Notes:
light spine stress lines to cover;
light wear all corners of cover;
very light bends to cover;
very light creasing to cover.
