2nd appearance of Supergirl! Adventures come soon enough, as family gets together and sorts out each other's ways of handling being "SUPER!" It takes into account the virtue established for someone from Krypton and keeps tradition alive. It is still early enough on in the run for these kinds of stories to add character and the fleshing out of already overpowered superheroes. It shows the guiding tutelage of an otherwise cousinly relatable relationship, and goes to show that most families need bonds, themselves, within their trust circle. Indeed, Supergirl shows usefulness as well being a companion for Superman and Superboy's or any other person of great strength and character to feel comfortable in their duties! With TV shows and making a splash within the DC circle of fans, the characters strengths from DC can take a backdoor to a pastime of tradition long standing within comics, and Lord willing prolong it into the future!
It started in movies with the likes of one Helen Slater, then along came some live action television eras to make Supergirl even greater!
Complete with a back cover picture of the sole Supergirl statue owned that, in my opinion, shows a Melissa Benoist likeness (television actress), and is Wonder Woman approved. As well it shows some prowess that one comes to know from watching and reading the Kryptonian chronicles among the red and blue suited heroes. It takes one's own character into account to hopefully teach the pursuit of happiness. Long Live the Pursuit from the Halls of Justice!
Grader Notes:
light foxing to cover;
light spine stress lines to cover;

1st appearance of Manchester Black & the Elite. 2nd Print! Joe Kelly story. Doug Mahnke & Lee Bermejo art. Tim Bradstreet cover. "What is so funny about Truth, Justice and the American Way?" It all gets the front-page treatment with British surmising characters that make some filler but pivotal to the storyline. Clark Kent seen with an inner struggle on the cover as a Superman, taking him back to his roots may prove that his bedrock needs an adjustment in the Faultline with the chaotic scenario about his day to day. Those secrets may prove formidable when it comes into alignment, and those surrounding impacting characters that aren't so super on their own, save what is in their hearts as the pursuit of happiness, will find him breathing life into the Supergirl TV show! When someone has your back or comes in when the cards are down, it can prove to be a friend indeed! Bought raw at the DVD store I frequent for cover price, a little dismayed it was a second print, but all good.
A quarter to show the sheer size of those Superman Extravaganzas that were afforded by DC!
Complete with a back cover picture of the "screen" at the prescreen before released publicly of "Shazam!" The first in a modern tradition in theaters of a more "universal type" superhero that need only say "The Word" to become a rescuer of lost souls. Seen across waters and planes of existence from the far off or even somewhat mystical, with roots in all forms and teammates with equal "word-like" demonstrations of a DC property. He still looks up to the Superman, both with long awaited action in comics! When a Super-man "can't" a Clark can, and vice versa, as it takes the honorable calling for peoples to link together and commonly find the hope that is found in those of character. i.e. Superman, Shazam, and hopefully within the DC!
Grader Notes;
bend left bottom of back cover.

Death appearance. Paul Cornell & Nick Spencer stories. Pete Woods & R.B. Silva art. David Finch cover. I'm a big fan of Finch, and if you ever pay for a sketch, I feel that you will not be disappointed! These characters "owned" by DC make for fanfare, as some come from the Sandman Series but this being in continuity for DC in superhero comics! Glad to represent multiple venues and eras, and with a somewhat modern portrayal, as I picked this at Comic-Con 2023 Fan Expo. I haggled and might have traded, but basically the cost of it was at $30 and then the cost to grade, at $62 all in! Glad it came back 9.8, and that is a sweet piece of business right there! As a nice presenting copy that keeps some type of Action Comics in my collection, which is weird as I read a lot of Superman as a kid, but there is no denying that some can only Marvel in certain majesty as an adult.
Mostly Kid Friendly, standing for the fun of liberty and teaching to not use it as an occasion for bad purposes. Instead, have some good and kindness within the "Treasury Editions!"
Complete with a back cover of Action Comics #800, and a newsstand at that, as these two issues were interesting enough for the covers alone that now as an adult it was time to pick up some Superman and watch him captivate my attention. Yeehaw!
