Australian Price Variant. Longshot, Dazzler & Mojo appearance. Maverick backup story by Scott Lobdell & Mark Texeira. $1.80 cover price. Australia brings Jim Lee trying to finish out his run, and as common place an issue, it has its importance. Whether you go with a Pressman or an Australian Priced Variant, it takes the world over to bring home the happiness that was the early 90's. Print runs galore, through many volumes and issues, it was on the backs of greats and many a weary, tried and true artist, and with Claremont backing it all up, it is a wonder that all of it was so well done, distributed, and commercialized to the extent it was. Cartoons were starting up with everyone on their A game, and now that X-men '97 is back in play with streaming and screaming fans, it sums up well with the nostalgia! Not as overplayed, seemingly at the time, there really are that many fans of, "Last time, on X-men!" ~ Cyclops Intro!
Complete with a back cover picture of the Funko POP #31 of Comic Covers that I won in a CGC social media contest. Who could go wrong with a figurine of, "GAMBIT?!" With that popularized first issue of this 1991 series as the backdrop! Pull over you're going too fast, as the 90's come crashing in with an "OH, YEAH" from the Kool Aid Man, and a "The Name is Gambit! Remember IT!"
