Set Description:
These covers were full of delinquents that featured and spurned the "King of the Hill" television series!
It is the duo that chuckle, with also a few bargain bin finds, and it is nice to see them represented with a bit of "Huh-uh-uh, huh-uh!" They made MTV some money and they've stuck around for movies and the like, notwithstanding I had seen at least one in theater, but those were 90's horrors of another decade of place and time. Being sober makes you wonder why others laughed, but if you didn't groan then you may today, and such are the free spirited.
Beavis even did a music video with Madonna, so they were pretty mainstream.
The "dorks" are united to slap each other around, a bit like the 3 stooges for their time, but threes a crowd when you're rolling down hill in a monster truck tire and running over "pedestrians!"
Cartoon madness. Last picture in the line-up is the B-day gift given to me by my brother, circa 2025.
As mainstream as it all was and their turn around the block, it probably took longer or so it would seem due to their individual forgetfulness and blazed attitudes. They didn't even really do drugs, but were funny and mostly to those who did, with spinoff TV action as well. The King of the Hill is a bit related to this B and B tomfoolery, and that isn't hard to swing a stick at for a long running media publication. It was all placed and written at the proper time during the 90's. It gave edge and some particular insight as to what then was, ahem, a dooby type juvenile repertoire! We all had to goof off sometime and seeing them made us feel better about our own failings, that at least we remembered to change clothes; although, they somehow lived in a house and mostly to themselves.
I don't know how they got by on funds and it wasn't like they were spending it much to "enhance their situation" except maybe beer now and again.

Based on the animated MTV series. Mike Lackey stories. Rick Parker cover & art. Devil Dinosaur guest appearance. Full of stories that make you pull your hair out in exclamation! Some random parking lot with a grocer brings them to buy yam's and end up eating a "caramel" bar after the grocer is arrested, which sticks in the teeth. They then are off to see the Dentist, the wonderful dentist of a back alley who goes full fisted, but then Beavis sticks him with a needle. Turning on the laughing gas, somehow Butt-head's braces are fixed, and they move on to the Devil Dinosaur bit. This wasn't too much for kids by way of the 90's but it entertained anyway, and became the Butthead of jokes, which aggravated those who were not inclined to watch or have MTV. I did not, so here is to the wonder of what exactly it was all about and with a bit of gross mentality to it too, I can say I've lived it somewhat no worse for wear.

Complete with a back cover picture of the insides to this book from a newsstand under copy that I picked up for $8 at a DVD store. Showing the juvenile antiquities of the 1990's, but I'll spare the gross "braces and chocolate", instead showing the frame of mind in the issues with the "Landolakes Butter" teaser. It had its moments, but I have #27 at CGC now, so it'll be nice to have more than one issue in the registry. If you can stomach it that is, ha!

Sam Johnson & Chris Marcil story. Rick Parker cover & art. Ah, Rick. What are we supposed to do with your sense of humor. Not kidding themselves as they really sometimes aren't even aware, the B&B duo show their prowess the best they know how and can. Often by trying something new, which sounds like fun until seeing how these two go about it. Not always in the legal faction, these boneheads show that they hardly have a brain between them except to egg each other on and then stand by and watch. Taking it all in makes us glad we've grown ourselves, but kids are kids, and somehow these were aimed towards those adolescent hijinks! It is amazing that their befuddled agreements go to the lengths that they do, aimed at a wayward essence that shows us that, "Hey, were not that bad!?" In lies the rub of art, comedy and expression. The title says it all!
All this was the 90's mindset.
Estimate sold when this was graded, circa 2025, #27 CGC 9.8 $155.
Complete with a back cover picture of another issue in this short run, to show the things of the French pronunciation "garbage" pail's where kids in the 90's thought it comedy! By countless movies, books, and yes, even illustrations such as comics. It's an April Fools issue at that!
Grader Notes:
spine stress lines cover breaks color;
tear with crease right bottom of front cover.
