seeing THIS COMIC [title] on The Stands,
and being REALLY excited.

I was SO glad to see this fresh Gilbert Shelton book, that I bought five, on the spot AT Comics & Comix, on Tele., right then!
(Therefore, these are newsstand copies.)
This is the first one of those five.

MANY copies of this [1st printing] were lost
in a Rip Off Press fire that hit them then.

I waited a long time for this one, but I can't even remember if I knew it WAS to BE coming out.
Fortunately for me, I was able to secure the POP (Publishers Overlay Proof) from RIP OFF PRESS for this issue..
to match THIS top-graded copy. This one of my all time favorite covers.. of the many books that I bought throughout
the Eighties.
