Proteus Appearance. Issue #128 is part of this long run and about halfway through getting my slabs sorted in the registry. About halfway through completeness, I decided to go book hunting, and even though I was on limited funds. Seems to be the way it goes sometimes. I found this at the LCS Comic Book Asylum. They had some other nice books that I eventually went back for, but this X-men was the only slab that seemed right and affordable. Mutant X or Proteus was just getting started in these issues, and I believe had 1st showed up in issue #125, of which I have an 8.5. This 9.2 is a well centered copy and fits in just right. Glad to now be more than halfway through filling out this set of X-men's! Nicely done. Supporting the LCS is also needed right now, the best I can, and they've all been super cool during this current time we're in with the pandemic.
Complete with a back cover picture of the prescreen pass before released to theaters of the modern "DUMBO!" Disney is now the producer creature forming among those that call themselves superheroes! Proteus this issue bends his reality to something presentable as ugly to punish Moira McTaggart for locking him up. Like in the original Dumbo where his life was sought after, rest assured the Disney side of the force wouldn't let that happen! Modern times have even changed aspects of the classic child film, but here in X-Men Banshee gets a shot to the shoulder of Proteus who is putting on the mind-bending force! Should be an ample opportunity for Disney portrayal fixing!
