Notes: I purchased this book slabbed in an EBay auction. Unfortunately the case was cracked along the seam and I'll have to have it re-holdered, if not re-graded. Of course this issue was not noted in the auction's description and I probably should have sent it back, especially since I had purchased issue #004 at the same time from the same seller, and it had problems too. Plot Synopsis: Elektra is asked by Hydra to kill Iraqi leader Saddam Abed Dasam, a job originally given to her by SHIELD. When she turns them down Hydra sends the Silver Samurai after her.
Notes: I purchased this book slabbed in an EBay auction. This specific issue replaces a 9.6 which was the first Elektra book I had in this set, no doubt the same book that started everyone else off as well. The 9.6 in turn was sold again in another EBay auction, I believe for a little less than what I had purchased it for in the first place. Immediately after I had purchased the 9.8, a Signature Series 9.8 (can't remember who signed it) came up and ended up selling for less than the one I had bought unsigned. Personally I don't touched signed books; to me a signature is a defect, even if it's worth more points for my registry set.
I've never seen this book raw; I have no idea what the nude panel looks like.

Notes: I purchased this book slabbed in an EBay auction along with issue #001, and it too needs to be re-holdered - there's a piece missing out of the side of the case. After the problems with these two issues I've decided to hunt down the rest of the run in a raw state and get them graded myself - these books aren't worth enough to take the chance on getting a bad deal off EBay. Not that I'm blaming EBay, these books were the only bad experiences I've had so far, but I don't believe high grade issues of Elektra are all that rare and I think I should be able to complete the run myself.

Plot Synopsis: Elektra tries to prove to Drake that she is worthy to become his student. He finally decides to accept her after he watches her playing with the neighbourhood children.
Notes: I picked up this book at one of the downtown Toronto comic book stores; it was the only one in the bin that I felt would grade a 9.8. Nice to see I was right. This is the first book of the series I had picked out raw, since I hadn't been having too much luck on EBay (see issues #001 and #004). For me this is a better way of filling this run, it's much more satisfying picking them out raw and getting that 9.8 yourself than to have someone do it for you.
